Home Service Dudes – Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Home Service Dudes (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, estimates, communications (including SMS), scheduling, and home service offerings (collectively, “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Services
Home Service Dudes provides residential and small commercial home services, which may include handyman work, repairs, installations, light carpentry, drywall, painting, small plumbing/electrical tasks (where permitted), maintenance, punch lists, and related services.
2. Estimates, Pricing, and Quote Validity
Estimates/quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Pricing may change due to material availability, supplier price changes, site conditions, access limitations, permitting/HOA requirements, or customer-requested scope changes.
If unforeseen conditions are discovered (e.g., rot, water damage, mold, pests, structural issues, outdated wiring, unpermitted prior work), we may pause work and provide a revised estimate or change order for approval.
3. Scheduling, Access, and Delays
Scheduling depends on availability, material lead times, and weather. Estimated start times/dates are not guarantees.
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the jobsite and a work area clear of personal property. Please secure pets and notify us of any access restrictions.
We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, supplier delays, permitting/HOA timelines, utility marking schedules, customer rescheduling, or other events outside our control.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. Deposits or special-order materials may be non-refundable where applicable (or may include restocking/cancellation fees from suppliers). Cancellations after scheduling or material purchase may result in charges for time, materials, or vendor costs already incurred.
5. Payments
Payment terms (including deposits and final payment) will be stated on your estimate, invoice, or proposal. Past-due balances may result in paused work, withheld scheduling, and/or late fees where permitted by law.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer represents they have authority to approve requested work on the property and agrees to disclose known issues that could affect the work.
Please remove or secure valuables and fragile items near the work area.
Some work may require specialty trades, engineering, or licensed work beyond our scope; if so, we may recommend a licensed professional or adjust the scope accordingly.
7. Permits, HOA, and Compliance
Unless explicitly stated in writing, the customer is responsible for obtaining any required permits and HOA approvals. Code and permitting requirements vary by location and may affect scope and price.
8. Materials
Unless otherwise stated, materials may be supplied by us or the customer depending on the job. Customer-supplied materials must be on site and ready before the scheduled start time. We are not responsible for delays or performance issues related to customer-supplied materials.
9. Warranty and Maintenance
Any workmanship warranty (if offered) will be described in your proposal or invoice. Manufacturer warranties apply to manufacturer-supplied products. Normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, misuse, or pre-existing conditions are not covered.
10. Photos and Marketing
We may take photos/videos before, during, and after work for documentation and quality control. Unless you request otherwise in writing, you grant permission for us to use non-sensitive project images for marketing purposes (no personal identifying info).
11. Communications Consent (Calls, Email, SMS)
By providing your phone number and/or email, you consent to receive communications related to estimates, scheduling, project updates, invoices, and customer service via call, email, or text message.
